The Impossible Project just recently released the MINT flash for SX70 folding cameras. It is a reusable flash bar which attaches to your favourite SX70 camera!
It looks super slick and packs a bunch of neat features to help you shoot your TIP film in the dark or at hip house parties. Here are some key features:
FEATURES
- Extremely compact and light flash unit for your SX-70 camera
- Easy LED display on state of flash settings and energy
- Detailed user manual
- Powered by 2 AAA cells (not included!)
SPECIAL IMPOSSIBLE FEATURES
- This flash allows you to use 600 ASA film in SX-70 cameras, thanks to a special, switchable ND-compensation mode (TOTALLY AWESOME FEATURE)
- Light temperature is optimized for use with Impossible Silver and Color Shade films
It seems a little pricey at $89.99 US plus shipping, which is a lot for us Canadians. :( I am gonna hold out for now but I think I'll be picking one up eventually. I am really intrigued by the possibility of letting you use 600 ASA films in your SX70 without those ND annoying filters.
