Analog Camera Collection

Been a while since my last update (not surprising there!). Just wanted to share my camera collection with you all and I made a quick video to show and tell :)

This is just a preview and I will follow up with more individual videos for each camera.

Enjoy thanks!

Shooting TIP PX600 in the COLD

It started snowing, so I decided to test the Impossible Project's (TIP) PX600 silver shade film outside in the cold! I want to share some tips through my experience.

MY TIPS:

1. Wear gloves! - It gets cold and your hands will numb when handling your camera and film. *Preferably thin gloves so you can still operate your camera properly!
2. Compose ahead - Always look around and compose shots in your head, this will help with wasting less time and losing precious body heat.
3. Keep film away from light - Shoot with a light shield or be quick and shield your film as it comes out! TIP film is sensitive to light during the development process.
4. Keep your film warm - When your film is developing it is affected by the temperature! so keep it warm preferably with your own body heat. The more warmth you give your film while it is developing the more dark contrast you are going to get.

TIP: PX70 Review!

New year! NEW POST!

Happy 2012 everybody! I've been super busy with school and work so it is true that I have left this blog on the back burner. But hey whenever I have time I still wanna keep up to date with all the great things that are happening in the instant photography world.

I finally took the time to record a short video on the new PX70 film from the Impossible Project.
Here is the video:

Silver Shade Portraits

There is something really special about taking portraits using monochrome film. Colour is great, but there is almost something soulful and deep when you take out the pop of colour. Do you agree?

More after the jump.

PX600 SILVER SHADE

My first shot with PX600 silver shade UV+. The black frame is a nice unique touch and it suits the monochromatic nature of this film. Love it.

Still shooting PX680 :)

It's already July and it feels like Summer is still hiding behind the clouds of Spring.

Gotta motivate myself to shoot more and be more experimental. The colours are still pretty amazing, but consistency is still a bit spotty.

My Sakura Tree

This tree in my backyard, every year it blooms later than all the other trees. It aint the most beautiful tree 3/4 of the year but it never fails to make me want to take an unhealthy amount of photos of it.

I wonder what surprises you have for me next year.
This PX680 film... Lovin' it!
